This NCA was conducted at West Pokot in western Kenya. A demographic study was carried out in 2014, estimating that 45.9% of children under 5 years of age in the region suffered from chronic malnutrition. The main objective of the study was to determine the causes of malnutrition, including chronic under-nutrition, in children aged 0-59 months. The results of the data collection revealed many risk factors for malnutrition, including high prevalence of childhood diseases, poor access to drinking water, poor hygiene practices, consumption and lack of diversity Of adequate food. In addition, there are a myriad of vulnerabilities that lead to chronic food insecurity.
