The Link NCA was undertaken in Isiolo County in four villages, spanning three livelihood groups, including agro-pastoral, pastoral, and charcoal/firewood burning. According to the NCA, many of the risk factors for malnutrition were found to be similar for the three livelihood groups investigated. Morbidity of childhood illness, inadequate quantity and diversity of age specific foods, access to safe water and inadequate food access were some of the highest ranked causes of malnutrition.
